On Today's Show... |
|
The EIB Network will Carry a Best of Rush Show on Monday. Rush Returns on Tuesday.
A Dr. Williams Monologue: Health Care and the Constitution
"Is it permissible under the United States Constitution for the federal government to be involved in health care? Where is their authority? I know someone is going to say, 'It's in the general welfare clause.' That is absolute stupidity." -Dr. Williams (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen)
|
|
|
Hour 2: Dr. Williams Interviews Dr. Thomas Sowell (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen)
"I prefer a thief to a Congressman. A thief will take your money and be on his way, but a Congressman will stand there and bore you with the reasons why he took it." -Dr. Williams
ObamaFood: Transcript of an EIB Think Piece from Rush:
"If Obama wanted to take on the cost of food in the same way they're taking on health care, he'd say that he's going to drive down the profits of the greedy farmers and squeeze the profits of the shipping industry. Then he'd attack the food stores." -Rush (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen)
|
|
|
"Iraqis are selling their kidneys. Well, I think that's wonderful. Here there are laws against selling your kidney. Why? Who owns my kidney? If I own it, why can't I sell it?" -Dr. Williams
Dr. Williams Monologue: Prepare Yourself for Inflation (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen)
"Social Security was sold with lies. My Social Security card says 'Not for Identification.' What happened to that? Today, you can't go down the hall without giving your number." -Dr. Williams

I like to listen to Walter E. Williams. It’s like being in a classroom. He runs the show like you are a student of economics. It was great that they set him up with his daughter calling today without him knowing it was coming.

Since I arrived in the Philippines, Rush was on during my sleeping time, past midnight.
I joined Rush 24/7...Great service.
I recommend it to everyone that can not catch him live
every day. You also miss all the commercials and station breaks.
The site also has many added features.
By the way, my Rush days go back before Dan’s bake sale ;)

We had 45 minutes of Sowell today. What a treat. The man is a genius.
His Random Thoughts columns are the greatest tidbits you ever want to read.

Williams is an old school economics teacher. We might listen to him 4 times a year, but it refreshing to hear logic. He backs up his answers with the truth.

It was truly a treat! I extended my lunch time to listen. Dr Sowell is really and truly a treasure! Through the years, I have passed on several of his columns to my Lib friends. As a result, several of them have been converted. If a person has any sense at all, it is impossible to contradict this great man's wisdom.

No, we may not to get to hear him that often but it’s always a treat when we do. I love it when he mentions Mrs. Williams. I had to miss today’s show. I do use his website though. It’s a treasure trove!

Walter Williams is the economics professor I wish I had in college. The economics professor that I had worshipped FDR.

By the way, my Rush days go back before Dans bake sale ;) I recall listening to the show the day that all went down. I think if there is one thing I regret in life, it is not going to Dan's Bake Sale. If I have a complaint with Rush it is that he almost never shakes things up and breaks out of the routine. One year is the same as the next. If he did something like Dan's Bake Sale again, I guarantee that it would be bigger than the last. Now is the perfect time in history. I understand that he likes things to be spontaneous, but a lot of memorable events have happened when people didn't wait for spontaneity.
To: Fred Hayek
<Milton Friedman was the best. Williams and Sowell are carrying his legacy.

I agree. A new Dan’s would be great, but I am a bit too far away to come :(((
I just finished listening to Jeff Kuner, subbing for Savage.
It was great, and Rush needs to ramp things up a bit, as Kuner was doing.
By the way, for those that lust for talk radio, www.radiotime.com is a great site to get online streaming
from thousands of stations.
You can pick your interest.
Go to the home page and click on “conservative”.
You can get links to all of the talkers.

Sadly, Mrs. Williams passed away last year. Unexpected. A great loss to father and daughter, I’m sure. :(

My Dad went to Dan’s Bake Sale. Drove from WI to CO, I think. He still wears the hat he bought there from time to time. Said it was a total blast. :)
Dad turned me on to Rush when I was in my 20’s, so I’ve been listening a long time, too. I learn something from Rush each day.
