“Esther” is not a Hebrew name.

It is an Ancient Persian name meaning “Star”. The Portuguese and Spanish “Estrella” is the etymological descendent of “Esther”.

Through the Latin "Stella." I hadn't given that any thought, but the Persian language group is Indo-European, just as the Romance group is. Neat!
