Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker Believes There is Still Room for Compromise on Health Care.
BY SHAILAGH MURRAY
Republican Sen. Bob Corker stood before a packed high school auditorium this week for his 24th and final town hall meeting of the summer, sketching out his vision for the bipartisan health-care plan he says he is convinced Congress can pass.

I just tried to call both the dc and nashville offices, and got a recording at both locations. Corker buys into the global warming biz as well.
He’s been bitten by the Lamar Alexander bug.
Vomik. Ed Bryant was my man. Corker is worthless.
Ah yes! I heard it today also, Sen Corker is fairly in my sights, Him and Alexander. How can You set them straight when they jump from one side of the fence to the other?
RINO alert!
First verify that he said this. Then target him in every free media we have left.
This is the corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" doing what is has been designed to do. Play 1/2 of Americans against the other but in the end doing what the elites want at the peoples expense. If these 5 bums were not making this issue you darn well know that 5 others would be taking their places. The whole government is a sewer of corruption. Get out of the "Two-Party Cartel" or continue with this BS yr after yr & election after election.
Because the GOP isn’t called the Stupid Party for nothing.
Because the GOP isn’t called the Stupid Party for nothing.
Remove him from office!
It’s interesting how the RINO’s always show up as a coordinated group... like they’re following orders to about face. Could we use a polygraph to figure out their motivations? I think we should...it could help us figure things out.
Ask them one simple question:
“Senator, are you currently or have you ever been bribed or blackmailed”
Aside from Corker, the others are multi-term senators -— termers for short -— and I think termers are the problem, not a two party cartel.
Termers go to DC and get cozy with members of the opposition party and that’s not what they’re sent to do.
Just look at the horrific display of brotherly love at Kennedy’s funeral. Hatch and McCain LOVED that guy. I might add, that Kennedy, Hatch and McCain have all been in DC longer than I have been alive! I find that unacceptable.
I refer to the GOP as the “kick me hard” party.
I was not aware that Corker was a RINO, as some have stated? I thought he was just on the quiet side?
Obviously, he’s not DeMint, Coburn or Jeff Sessions, but I don’t know that I would stick him in the same company as McCain, Snowe and Graham either?
ZGuess I don’t know much about him?
My bro lives in TN. I’ll have to find out what gives.
He and Alexander both are somewhat moderate. We had far better candidates in the primary, but these two bozos won.
Chattanooga Chafee returns.
Don’t blame me, I voted for Ed Bryant.
There are some things we could do to make health care in this country better.
Probably nothing that would end up in a bill passed by congress, but there are problems, some of those problems are caused by government, and therefore government could act to fix them.
For example, it would be interesting to try to remove any governmental barriers to insurance portability. Right now, even if you have the same insurance company, if you have switched jobs and moved to a different state, you might not be keeping the “same insurance”, because states can impose insurance requirements that force the companies to have different policies for different states.
This in turn could mean that a medical condition covered by a company when you have a job in one state might well become a pre-existing condition that won’t be covered when you switch jobs, because you can’t “keep” your insurance from the one job to another.
Now, some might even say we should pass a law that forced insurers, or companies, to make things more portable — but I’m just talking about removing any legal impediments to making insurance portable.
IF we were able to “fix” one or two of the biggest problems, problems that have solutions that would be accceptable for a vast majority of us, it would remove most of the support for any further tinkering.
I have no idea if that is what Corker intends to do.
These guys need to be turned upside down in public...and see who’s money falls out of their pockets..when identified..the public needs to show up on the doorsteps of said companies demanding explanation for their Congressional collusion and corruption at the expense of the American people...
