Like the coach said, it’s déjà vu all over again. We are charging full speed off the panic cliff one more time.
There’s another round of something called swine flu (this time, AH1N1), just like in the mid 1970s. And just like 33 years ago, there’s a huge government rush to whip out a vaccine and a full-court media frenzy to get everyone and his dog immunized.
Let’s all take a breather and recall some history. The first mass U.S. vaccination in 1976 was a total fiasco. Some 40 million took shots against a pandemic that never materialized. At least 25 died as a result of the vaccinations and 500 developed paralyzing Guillain-Barre syndrome. Lawsuits flew everywhere.
Is there any reason to believe it will be any different this time? Yes. Under the 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act, the U.S. government, in declaring an AH1N1 pandemic, has granted near total immunity to all vaccine makers. Those who are harmed or whose children or loved ones die as a result of the AH1N1 vaccine have no legal recourse whatsoever.
PREP supersedes a 1986 federal law that established a “vaccine court” for compensation, courtesy of the taxpayers, in cases of death or injury from childhood immunizations. That law was a classic example of privatizing the profits while dumping the financial risks of childhood vaccines on the public.
All of the preceding means the drug manufacturers have absolutely zero encouragement to develop safe vaccines. They will not suffer any legal or financial consequences if their products cause the same kinds of problems (or worse) as the 1976 swine flu vaccine. In fact, this law gives them perverse disincentive to test for safety by shielding them as long as they do not know they are providing a harmful vaccine. Like panic, ignorance is profitable, too.
Small wonder the development and test period for this new AH1N1 vaccine has been shortened to the point of nonexistent. We will be giving this shot to school children and others without knowing its side effects or whether it will even be effective. The ugly truth about flu vaccines is that they are not very effective against even seasonal flu, and have been shown to be highly dangerous for people with chronic conditions like asthma.
Need something more to ponder? Substances called adjuvants are being pumped into the vaccines for AH1N1 (and other vaccines, too). An adjuvant supposedly helps boost the vaccine’s effectiveness inside the body. This means less of the attenuated virus, which actually confers immunity, needs to go into each dose. In other words, an adjuvant is a filler that permits vaccine manufacturers to produce lots more doses far more quickly and at a substantially lower cost per dose.
What substances comprise these adjuvant-fillers? One older yet still common adjuvant is aluminum hydroxide, which can cause allergic reactions, arrested breathing and inflammation throughout the body. There are newer adjuvants, but according to the Aug. 2, 2007 edition of BioPharm International, these newer vaccine fillers are even more toxic and more likely to provoke harmful allergic reactions than aluminum hydroxide.
Many doses of the new AH1N1 vaccine may also contain the mercury-laden preservative thimerosal. The National Institute of Medicine has warned that infants, children and pregnant women should not be injected with thimerosal. Why is this substance even near vaccines that are going to children?
To sum up, the vaccine for the AH1N1 virus is more dangerous than the disease it supposedly protects us from. Who will guard us from the side effects of this vaccine? Not the U.S. government, which is just itching to dump this garbage into the entire populace. Do we really want our children, our loved ones, or ourselves to be guinea pigs in some grandiose national medical experiment?

Here’s a thought: maybe when they force mercury into our bodies is the time to force lead and/or copper into theirs.

Swine flu has killed 3097 thru 09/02/09 WORLDWIDE. What is the big deal? Seasonal flu kills 36000 NATIONWIDE annually in the US, it was reported earlier this year. Do the math, that’s 3000 per month. Everybody is so spooked by this swine thing, and they are afraid it will be 1918 all over if it mutates, but if it mutates, their vaccine is likely worthless....In 1976, one died from the flu; Twentyfive died from the vaccine; Five hundred were paralized from the vaccine. Me and mine are taking our chances with the flu, unless it gets a lot meaner.
I wont take the shot either.
