I understand that there are a lot of people saying this, but please don't repeat it; it simply is NOT TRUE.

Of total US debt China holds less than 2%. Guess who's holding by far and away the most?

US Taxpayers.

And unlike the Chinese, we aren't ever going to be paid back.
