n 1991, President George H.W. Bush, a Republican, addressed the nation's students, urging them to avoid drugs, study hard and report troublemakers.

I wonder if that's even true. I've read that no president has ever addressed school kids only with a message sent straight into their schools during schools hours. No president should ever do that.

And those Department of Miseducation discussion guidelines sent out (since revised) to go along with the speech told everyone exactly what this was all about - propaganda to win young supporters for Dear Leader.

I couldn’t believe that paperwork that was sent out. Here is the info on the Bush speech about drugs:

President Bush pleaded with young people around the nation today to stop using drugs and ‘’not to look the other way’’ when others do.

In a 15-minute nationally televised plea from the White House library, the President presented the latest round of an anti-drug campaign that began a week ago with another nationally broadcast message announcing a $7.9 billion package.
