What happened to President Obama? His wax wings having melted; he is the man who fell to earth. What happened to bring his popularity down further than that of any new president in polling history save Gerald Ford (post-Nixon pardon)?
The conventional wisdom is that Obama made a tactical mistake by farming out his agenda to Congress and letting himself be pulled left by the doctrinaire liberals of the Democratic congressional leadership.
But the idea of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi pulling Obama left is quite ridiculous. Where do you think he came from, this friend of Chavista ex-terrorist William Ayers, of PLO apologist Rashid Khalidi, of racialist inciter Jeremiah Wright?
But forget the character witnesses. Just look at Obama's behavior as president, beginning with his first address to Congress.
Unbidden, unforced and unpushed by the congressional leadership, Obama gave his most deeply felt vision of America, delivering the boldest social democratic manifesto ever issued by a U.S. president. In American politics, you can't get more left than that speech and still be on the playing field.
In a center-right country, that was problem enough. Obama compounded it by vastly misreading his mandate. He assumed it was personal. This, after winning by a mere seven points in a year of true economic catastrophe, of an extraordinarily unpopular Republican incumbent, and of a politically weak and unsteady opponent.
Nonetheless, Obama imagined that, as Fouad Ajami so brilliantly observed, he had won the kind of banana-republic plebiscite that grants caudillolike authority to remake everything in one's own image.

Now now, his mandate was as simple as his campaign. “Yes we can!” He got voted in and “Yes he could!” 52% of the electorate is getting exactly what they voted for. Maybe some of them will be smarter next time around.
Zero is still way above his paygrade.
The dims never stopped to consider that he never defined what ‘hope’ and what ‘change’ he was refering too.

Funny, I thought this just tonight. The whole “magic” thingy is done for him. Because it was all false. It may as well have been mass hypnosis (Hype-nosis is more like it).
He doesn’t really have any charm, or grace. He’s 1/2 way well spoken and decent looking and that’s about it.
He wants you to think that he is well spoken. But what he does is talk without saying anything. He is an oaf and an arrogant one at that
And not a good one at that. He just votes “Present”.
Letting himself be pulled left!? Uh...no...he was always there, he (with the help of the MSM) just hid it well.

The dumbest moment of the whole 2008 campaign was watching Obama and Hillary argue in the debate about who was more of an agent of "change."
He didn’t misread his mandate. He knew perfectly well that the people wouldn’t like his policies. That’s why he rammed through the stimulus before anyone had a chance to read it and that’s why he attempted to pass health care legislation before the August recess. And that also why every word he says about health care (or anything else for that matter) is lie, because he knows if most Americans understand the truth about it they would be opposed to it. Finally, that’s why he’s on record saying that he is OK with being a one term president if he is able to get his agenda through.
The bottom line is Obama is all about wealth redistribution. He know that the majority of people in this country are strongly opposed to such marxist policies so he has to use subterfuge and lying to try to get this crap passed.
Or in the words of the buzzard, a turd world socialist dictator.
That stuff is good enough for South American peons but unfortunately for el Jefe, Americans don't buy that sh*t.

The man misuses words, e.g., enormity and mangles the English language, e.g., “President Bush invited Michelle and I to the White House.” How he got into Harvard I’ll never know.
Good for Charles, but I sure wish he had mentioned this more BEFORE the election when he seemed to be giving Ozero the benefit of the doubt.
Most importantly, is Michelle still newly proud of her country or not anymore?
