US Treasury eases cash, travel restrictions on Cuba

The US Treasury Thursday eased restrictions on travel and money transfers to Cuba, a move aimed at promoting "greater contact between separated family members in the United States and Cuba."

The move follows an April 13 announcement by President Barack Obama that Washington would lift curbs on travel and money transfers by Cuban-Americans to the island.

The 47-year-old US economic embargo on Cuba however remains.

I wonder how many "separated family members" there would have been if Castro had launched some of those nukes he had pointed at us in '62?

So, apparently it’s not enough for all the immigrants in this country to send Billions/Trillions in cash out of it to other third world countries? Guess the Cubans in Miami need a little bit of that leeway, too!

If I were an enterprising auto junk yard dealer, I would be lobbying the government to set up a mail order business targeted directly at Cubans.....make a fortune......
