All their poll numbers will tank even further that night.
For a traditional Conservative take on Obama & the phoney Health Care Crisis: Health Care Or Armageddon?.
The tactics will likely be intimidation and appeals to the mob. The purpose has little, if anything, to do with actually solving anybody's health problems.
The last time he did this, right before the recess, his perfomance was less than lame.
One would assume he will be better prepared this time around. He’s got to find a way to repackage all that has gone before in such a way that people do not feel threatened by cost (higher taxes) and loss of fundamental freedoms (doctor choice, responsive health care etc.).
Ultimately, it will come down to whether or not people believe him. IMHO that time is past. Onadacare is dead in the water at this point. No matter what he says, those people who must vote on it, and are up for reelection, have gotten their constituents message—no to Onadacare. They’re need for feeding off the taxpayer will trump Onadacare.
Of course, Onada could try to force on us by presidential fiat. But, in the end, it is Congress that controls the purse to pay for it. It won’t if the representatives and senators want to stay in office.
