This comes as the White House has been signaling publicly that they are ready to take charge of the health care debate.

OBAMA DOESN’T GET IT. EVERY TIME HE MAKES A SPEECH HIS RATINGS DROP AND HE JUST MANAGES TO GET BOTH SIDES PISSED OFF. HE SHOULD JUST GO AND HIBERNATE.

Understood that the polls support us. But the attention span of the average American is measured in seconds. And Obama will use fresh focus group language to fool and deceive. I see his approval ratings going up after the join meeting, but then decline again.
If there is to be a Republican response, they better make sure is is done in a packed hall with lots of ordinary folks (”Tea Party goers”) who can stand and cheer when Conservative points are made.

I may or may not watch. I can’t stomach him, but I am also active in various protest groups and I want to know what I am confronting. I suspect he will draw arournd 30 million tops.
Could Obama go on TV and announce before Congress that he is declaring martial law because of a perceived public danger from right-wing extremist groups?
