WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama is considering giving a major speech detailing what he would like to see included in a bill to overhaul health care, a senior White House aide said Wednesday.
Senior advisor David Axelrod told CNN that the president is looking at the possibility of a speech as "one of his options" in pushing forward his health care agenda after returning next week from vacation at Camp David, Maryland.
Obama has outlined broad principles for what he would like in health care legislation, but he has left most details to leaders in Congress. Now, White House aides said, the dynamic has changed.
"We're entering a new season," Axelrod said. "It's time to synthesize and harmonize these strands and get this done."

Enough with the speeches already!...My God!...Obango and his speeches make waterboarding look tolerable!
Synthesize and harmonize????....What the hell are they doing?....playing the banjo?

No kidding!!! why does he think MORE speeches are going to help anything since that strategy is NOT working as it is??

Makes me smile. Lately, every time he gives a speech, his numbers go down. :-)

So, to make sure I understand this correctly -- NOW he's going to make a speech to detail what specifics he thinks should be in the bill. This is for the same bill that he HAD to have passed in August before recess. I guess you'd call that leadership .

Ditto. The man is in a political quagmire and he’s to stubborn to admit he can’t win.

Great. Go for it NOBama. The Rasmussen Index needs a little kick. We need to break that -14 record.

Oh yipee. A major tennis match, er, speech. That said, Americans are getting tired of his “speeches”. It shows in the viewership ratings when he was doing the primetime press conferences. “Just words” is the mindset of many more than before.

I’m sure he’s going to time it for next week when some of the new Fall Shows have their Premieres. Talk about transparency.

Maybe he re-thought his speech writing team and hired Bill Maher - that wizard of communication - so he comes off as “re-invented” after a bruising month - on vaycay!

Yes. Please. ANOTHER speech littered with,
"I. am going. TO...uhhh. talk for. SEVeral hours. And leave. Five. minutes for. questions. and. answers." I hope the entire Tingly Media carries it except for FOX. They could put on a test pattern during the speech and it would be a ratings hit.

I knew a great doctor once who could synthesize and harmonize your strands, but some hack lawyer sued him out of business.

The more he shows his face, the more people are going to turn against him.
