Napolitano in NY to Unveil Obama's New Emergencies and Natural Disasters Plan

NEW YORK, NY September 02, 2009 —Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will be in New York today to unveil the Obama Administration's new national "Ready Campaign", aimed at improving household preparedness for emergencies and natural disasters.

Today's national rollout comes several weeks after Napolitano appointed a panel to review the controversial five-color terror threat matrix, implemented by the Bush Administration. A report is expected next month.

Currently the nation's threat level is set at "elevated" or code yellow. The threat level for all domestic and international air travel has been set at "high" or elevated.

I am really curious about the subtle changes that will be made. Like those made for the "faith based" movement. Not noticable unless you read very carefully...but substantial enough to totally change the aims of the program.

Question EVERYTHING suggested by this administration. Somebody is bound to be hurt by each program initiated in Washington in their quest to control the population. It is a very sad state of affairs that this has gotten so bad.

If this involves anything more than changing that STOO-PID^™ color code system to a numbered system, (like DEFCON 1 to 5, where 1 is war) then watch out Janet. Any mention of FEMA, the NG, orrrrr -- the WH & DHS 'taking control', or 'Guarding Against Domestic Extremists' -- then the 'feces will hit the ventilator'.

So tread carefully with your words ms Nappy, FYI the U.S. Constitution is still in effect.

I kinda doubt it...but I don't underestimate their desire to move in this direction.

However, rest assured that in an emergency...whatever you have will be eligible for redistribution under the threat of lethal force.

NObama’s administration also is accusing us of HOARDING when we lay in supplies, etc.

Just like Hitler—make enough laws that are contradictory, and the citizen is breaking the law some how, somewhere, every minute of the day.

I am waiting to see how NObama thinks he can handle the Mormons who keep a minimum of a year’s supply of food on hand at all times.

I have to say that members of the LDS church has some of the best emergency preparedness ideas, that would outshine anything Obama could come up with.
