This cause is just what Glenn needed to make him his best. Before 9-11, we had Dr. Laura on the radio station I listened to. If you all recall, there was no radio for several days except emergency broadcasts, and then it was news 24X7 for a couple of weeks, but when it came back, Dr. Laura was gone and this guy I’d never head of, Glenn Beck was in her place. He was awesome.
Over time, I started to think he’d gone soft. He seemed like a motivational speaker rather than an archconservative right wing talk show host. He started predicting the mess we’re in, and I sort of believed him but thought, who knows when?
Now he’s on fire. Only thing is this blame republicans as much as democrats schtick. That’s fine. I agree completely that the pubes are dragging us down too, and that they’re progressives etc., but we may need them to get us out of this mess - we may not have anybody better to vote for.
As long as he qualifies his remarks about repubs with “elitist republicans”,
he’ll still be right on the mark.
Typo, or freudian slip?
“I agree completely that the pubes are dragging us down too, and that theyre progressives etc., but we may need them to get us out of this mess - we may not have anybody better to vote for.”
I agree. I’m glad Beck is on radio/tv but I get very uncomfortable when he says Repubs are the same as Dems. However, maybe this gives him street cred with the precious “independents” and “moderates”. If so, I’m fine with it, I guess.
