Holder needs to explain dismissal of Phila. case
Sacramento Bee ^ | 9/2/2009 | KEVIN FERRIS

In February, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. noted that it was hard to talk about race, but cowardly not to try. In that spirit, he should answer questions being raised about the dismissal of a voter-intimidation case involving a hate group in Philadelphia.

If you missed the incident, it's understandable. It was a YouTube blip on a historic election day. On Nov. 4, two black men in paramilitary uniforms, one wielding a nightstick, were reported harassing voters at a polling place.

It had no effect on Barack Obama's landslide win in the city. He doesn't condone the hate group or its despicable agenda. So why, members of Congress and the U.S. Civil Rights Commission ask, dismiss such an egregious case? Doesn't that put out a welcome mat to hate groups? Is this about politics or justice?

The Justice Department wasn't reticent in its January complaint, which set the scene:

Samir Shabazz, head of the Philadelphia chapter of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, and Jerry Jackson, a party member, were "deployed" eight to 15 feet from the entrance of a polling place in "military-style uniforms."

"Shabazz brandished a deadly weapon" - a nightstick, the complaint said. "Shabazz pointed the weapon at individuals, menacingly tapped it (in) his other hand, or menacingly tapped it elsewhere."

The answer of why is easy, it was given the other day.

Can anyone say "Dry Run"? How about "Precedent"?

I thought so.

It’s originally from the Inquirer. Kevin Ferris is what passes for a conservative there. I used to read him when I lived in Philly area.

Let’s just say if two white people showed up at the polls intimidating voters, it would have been headlines in all the liberal rags as well as all the other lib media outlets. Obama would have made a public declaration about racism and on and on. But the two people involved are black. How any person with half a brain can look at Holder’s open malfeasance and say it’s not racial pandering is a liar.

Hard to believe such an editorial would be in the Bee

Not if you read the whole thing, this little jewel for instance:

It had no effect on Barack Obama's landslide win in the city.and just how do they know it had no effect?

He doesn't condone the hate group or its despicable agenda. This is his group, but they lie their tails off defending him

So why, members of Congress and the U.S. Civil Rights Commission ask, dismiss such an egregious case? Doesn't that put out a welcome mat to hate groups? Is this about politics or justice?

At least the last part comes to the point, of course it is about politics, but if so how can they then say Bozo doesn't condone it, when Bozo is the one in charge, not Holder? Bozo tries to pretend that Holder has full autonomy in his job and that is just BS. Bozo is responsible and he needs to resign.

It’s racist to hold Black people responsible for anything.

"Instead, in a carefully-worded, roundabout form of ethnic nationalism,[8] they say that Marx based his ideology and teachings on indigenous African cultures, and that the NBPP therefore need not look to Marxism or Maoism as a basis for their program, but can look to ideologies that stem directly from those African origins."

This is hilarious, I doubt that Marx ever travelled or studied about Africa. What these clowns are trying to say is that yes we believe in Socialism/Marxism/Communism but we hate whitey so much that we have to figure out a way to not claim we base our beliefs on a white man.

One other note concerning the idiot's pictures trying to look tough. If you're planning on starting a revolution, you better get a lot bigger hardware than a couple of revolvers when you come for me.

It would have been more than a blip on the news if some freedom loving American had erased these sorry savages from the face of the planet via longrange cranial ventilation...
