I don’t.
I’ve stood in this lady’s shoes.

Do you think slapping that two year old will stop the crying?

Now, look at the mom, ask if you can help and carry whatever she needs to pick the kid up and walk him out.

I’ve walk a bellowing child out of a situation, many a time.

It’s a joke.

Absolutely right on, ntmilsmom. We grandmothers can oogledy boo and talk fun to someone else’s 2 year old and bring them out of their fit just from their curiosity and our mellow sounds and smiles. It usually works and the parent is so grateful, mostly for the understanding you have for their uncontrollable child at that moment.

This guy needs 2 year old sensitivity training. Wouldn't that be fun to watch!

I don’t understand why people go around with ery small children to big crowded places. It doesn’t work for anyone.

Of course where the problem comes in is that many parents these days don’t walk their bellowing kids out of the situation. They just let their little hellion continue to scream damaging the eardrums of all around. We all recognize that sometimes kids will freak out and they aren’t in total control of the parents, but we’ve got a generation of parents these days that don’t seem to even try.
