The two American television reporters imprisoned in North Korea for over four months have written an article describing the circumstances surrounding their arrests and detention, claiming they were arrested on Chinese soil.

Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who work for the American Current TV channel, were arrested in March and put on trial after allegedly crossing the North Korean border without entry permits and sentenced to 12-years in a labour camp....

In the lengthy article posted on Current TV's website, the women said they never intended to cross a frozen river into North Korea and were “firmly back” on Chinese soil when North Korean border guards grabbed them and “violently” dragged them back across the border.

...

They said that although there were no signs marking China's frontier with North Korea, they were aware that they heading towards the border crossing as they moved on foot across the frozen Tumen River.

The women said they followed their Korean-Chinese guide across the river, who pointed to a nearby village where illegal immigrants were believed to be waiting in safe houses.

Ms Lee and Ms Ling said however that they became nervous and decided to turn back and cross the river back into China.

"Feeling nervous about where we were, we quickly turned back toward China. Midway across the ice, we heard yelling,” the women said.

"We looked back and saw two North Korean soldiers with rifles running toward us. Instinctively, we ran.”

The guide and another producer from Current TV, Mitch Koss, were able to outrun the soldiers but Ms Lee and Ms Ling were captured.

"We didn't spend more than a minute on North Korean soil before turning back, but it is a minute we deeply regret," the women said.

The two women hinted at the possibility that they could

These women are such liars. The intentionally crossed the river to intentionally show how easy it is, except being lazy reporters, they didn’t bother to check to see if it was or was not dangerous. Turns out it was. Idiots.

Ms Ling and Ms Lee did not talk about how they were treated while in detention, and said certain aspects of their ordeal remained "too painful to revisit."

Probably a condition of their release that that they not talk about it.

The Algore Commies are certainly fabricators.

Their story is supposedly posted at Al Gorbaschev's TV website, linked on the article. The link didn't work for me.

From what the supposed women's libbers said, they asked for and received guidence to a village in N. Korea harboring would be border crossers waiting to be coyoteed into Red China.

That's probably where they were picked up, having been turned in by their guide or simply watched as they crossed into N. Korea.

They deliberately took a chance and got caught. They should serve some time in this country for the trouble they caused.

I thought this article was going to be about the ride home with Clinton. That’s when they were in real trouble.

I’ll bet they had CNN and Newsweek in their cells, but they were “tortured” by having to watch Fox.

“Probably a condition of their release that that they not talk about it.”

I heard they were put up in luxury accommodations that are used to host visiting dignitaries. If so they probably don't want to talk about it because it would show just what a sham the whole thing was. I don't believe anything that they say.

They probably had it better than 99.9% of the people who live in North Korea, I’m sure they ate better.

Koss and company didn't have to outrun the soldiers. They just had to outrun Lee and Ling.

“...in South Korea they have been criticised for endangering the lives of vulnerable fugitives whose videoed interviews with the two journalist were also seized by the North Korean authorities.”

“A South Korean clergyman who worked in China helping defectors from across the border said that the footage had been used to round up North Korean defectors by the Chinese authorities, who also closed down foster homes for North Korean refugee children.”

These women are at best stupid and at worst traitors who intentionally endangered North Korean refugees for their own aggrandizement.

In my book, The Obammunist sent them, in cahoots with N. Korea, so he could have an excuse to undertake negotiations via their Komrade Klinton.

Sure haven't heard much from N. Korea but nice. They returned a S. Korean fisherman, restored telephone contact with the South

As for the two Algore stooges, they refuse to talk about the VIP treatment they got from the Kommies.
