Federal officials says a JBS Swift & Co. meatpacking plant in Colorado was wrong to fire more than 100 Muslim workers who walked out during Ramadan last year in a dispute over prayer breaks.
The evening-shift workers wanted their lunch breaks to coincide with sunset ...
Swift says it has made changes so Ramadan will go smoothly this year.
The workers or the EEOC can sue Swift if no settlement is reached.

Never, ever give a reason for firing someone.
Never, ever fire a group.
Simply fire one person at a time, giving them notice and politely telling them how much you regret the necessity, AFTER the problem has cleared up and “for business reasons”.
Let the parasitic lawyers find someone else to sue, but don’t give them any foundation to use in coming after you.
It’s sad that we can’t give employees the direct feedback that would give them a chance to improve, but that is the real world.

The EEOC is a terrorist organization. Twenty years ago, an EEOC rep came to my business and demanded to see my human relations manager. I told him I was the owner, manager, human relations manager, and also made the coffee. And if he wanted to see my employment records to make an appointment. He left, and never came back.
