Sanford is an adulterer. There is no question, no doubt at all. His wife has left him.

Do we hold Repubs to a higher standard? Yes.

My state has a RINO POS in Charlene Crist who should also resign.

A lot of conservatives believed in Sanford and he let them down. The same time we thought he was the REAL deal who would fight for the Republic - he is off to Argentina to get laid. He is clown.

He should resign along with that POS Lindsay Graham-nesty. The good citizens of SC should not elect crap like Graham nor should FL elect scum like Crist and Mel Martinez.

She “ain’t” even that hot. She is as flat as a sheet of 4 x 8 x 3/4” piece of plywood. This guy is such a dumba*s tard. She looks a bit too much like a dude for my taste too. What an a*s clown - he wrecked his career for that!

At least Sanford likes (boyish looking) women which is more than I can say for Graham-nesty.

Why do we Republicans have to demand our politicans have to be perfect? Let Sanford be. Look at Sarzoky in France. Didn't he divorce his wife to marry a young "bimbo".

This is one of the main reasons why I'm no longer registered as a Republican. (The other is that the GOP has no guts to stop Socialists from taking over this country)

He is a joke now. Democrats know he is not a threat. He could have had a shot at being President. He threw it all away for a boyish looking nothing. What a fool.

I wish Dems would have any standards which they do not have. No one will take him seriously now plus when he betrayed his wife and kids - who will trust him?

Not perfect, honorable. If you want immoral, unethical dishonesty, join the Democrats.

Look at Sarzoky in France

But Ma! Johnny can do it! Why can't I?!

Sanctimonious is for losers.

That attitude produced Obama.

*shrugs* Sanford was one of our best candidates but he's coming from the Bible Belt so all of that adultery is obviously not acceptable. If he's a politican from New York City, he may be gold though.

I like Cheney for President but no way that's going to happen.

I’m very successfully married, for 24 years, love at first sight which has never lessened. That’s why I think Sanford is honest about his homely true love, I think he means it.

When the type of love he has comes upon you, nothing should stand in its way. Does anyone think his wife, who said they were never really in love, and he will ever be the same?

As for some of the other crap thrown at me on this thread, I don’t know what any of that has to do with this topic. I’m talking about a man who has fallen deeply in love who’s too chickenshit to go all the way with it. And of course he should resign, but he won’t because up until now he’s been too stupid to even go after the woman he loves. I tried to do what I though was a good thing here, because I’m lucky enough to know what he fell into emotionally.

LOL. Totally. Now we may never win an election again with ACORN in charge of the Census.

No. The racist card produced Obama.

Honor and integrity have nothing to do with being sanctimonious.

That’s not love. It’s lust.

Here’s the wrinkle - romantic love isn’t an emotion. Emotion is part of it, but it’s not an emotion in itself.

A lot of folks think that romantic love is an emotion. That’s a huge mistake, assuring problems.

Well, that’s commendable. You finally admit you’re from Florida where various politicians have sinned. Now go clean up your shithole and come back and tell us how you did it. Then we can apply your cleanser to the state of SC. I’ll even give you credit.

“The good citizens of SC should not elect crap like Graham nor should FL elect scum like Crist and Mel Martinez.”

We agree. Teach your children well.

Sanford done. Sanford is not only an adulterer - he is stupid. His continued poetry in public after getting caught make him a joke. You cannot be an effective politician when you are joke unless you are a Democrat.

Well Mel Martinez is quitting and hopefully that disgusting clown Crist will lose in the primary. Ditto Juan McCain.

“As for some of the other crap thrown at me on this thread, I don’t know what any of that has to do with this topic.”

What you did, BlueState, is publish a viscious and needless diatribe against Gov. Sanford without knowing the capacity for forgiveness that many good citizens may or may not have. That’s your error. We don’t know if Sanford will survive his sins. It’s up to the citizens here in SC.

And you need to ID the state you live in.

Okay?

And sergeantdave, what the hell? I’m from one of the Midwest blue states, and that’s as far as I go. I own a very large company, and if word gets out to my employees about my views and what I consider my complete freedom to both express myself and have fun on FR, it wouldn’t be pretty, that’s for damn sure.

Vicious? What were you reading? If the guy really loves the woman to such an extent he’s going poetry-in-public, and doesn’t go get the girl, maybe he needs a shove or two. I tried to give him a shove on the outside chance someone gives him the post to read.

Try again, BlueState. If you do indeed own a “a very large company” and word gets out to your employees, what might happen? Your employees might hang you?

You’re peddling bullsh*t.

You don’t own a “very large company” nor are you in danger from expressing yourself. I’ve been around the block a few times.

Quit the bullcrap and be who you are - probably a young man just starting to explore the world. Stand tall.

If you want a flame war, I’m not into that. And if I get called a liar everytime I post to you, what’s the use?
