America's Standard: Flags Across America on 9-11-2009
America's Independent Party ^ | September 1, 2009

AIP Projects -> AIP National Committee News

From grassroots email networks:

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States .

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this eighth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies.

We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism.

Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared.

Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.

Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do.

(1) Forward this to everyone you know (at least 11 people).  Please don't be a weak link in the chain of the millions we want to take part in this patriotic demonstration.  Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.  Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation.

You bet! Will do.

We need patriotism in this country now more than ever. People need to remember how great this country once was, and elect those who will see that it returns to it's great roots once again.

No more freeloading. Evey man must learn to carry his own weight if this country is to survive.

Our flag flies night and day, throughout the perpetual daylight of susmmer and the dark subarctic winter. It flies because is is mounted on a tree which also holds our security light, assuring that the flag is lit 24/7.

Ya gotta take them down and wash them with mild bleach or they mold.

The mold makes them brittle and they can shred a bit.

You knew that.

What ever happened to our big flag we used to take on FReeps?

Some folks up the road have a ground mounted pole
about twelve feet tall with a floodlight on it from below.

It looks great, I'd like to illuminate mine.

Fly them on your cars also. That’s where most Americans will see them.

Oh yeah. Good idea. I saw a lot of them after 9/11. It was great.
We still have the flag stickers in our car windows, and they're still in good shape.

I have a bunch of little US flags that line the lawn for patriotic occasions.
