An armed man on a bicycle was shot by a police officer in North Miami Beach early this morning, police said.
The unidentified man was shot after he pulled the weapon on the officer just after midnight near Northeast 182nd Street and 19th Avenue, according to police.
The suspect was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Police said they recovered a firearm at the scene. The officer was not hurt in the shooting.

Seems they always “find a pistol at the scene”. Just more anti-gun propaganda.

Why is the person who pulled the gun on the officer called the suspect while the officer who shot him does not get the same characterization?
Shouldn’t it be the officer allegedly shot the suspect.
or better yet it could be...
The officer allegedly shot the gun toting cyclist.

Three, the media, the cop and the suspect.

Every day when I commute I look for guns on the street, and in many dcades of working I'v never found one. I got excited about "assault weapons" on the street, in that I'd like a full auto AK or an M-16, or even a SAW, but so far nothing.

I rather think xcamel was right:
The cop, the suspect, the media to start. Obama’s we already know (the police acted stupidly). If the cyclist is black, Oprah will have one. Furthermore if the police officer is white Sharpton will also contribute.
They add up quickly... ;-)

Life is always full of guns-on-the-streets disappointment like that!
Leftists and journalists are often known to say,
"guns are all over the place and available for illegal purchase by anyone" to which I counter with the following offer to friends and acquaintances:
"...Go out now and purchase an illegal gun. If you are successful within twelve hours, I will give you the price you paid plus $500.00 and I will also bring the gun to police to keep it out of unlawful hands..."
Nobody has chosen to take my generous offer. Seems like easy money with all those guns allegedly out there!

I guess I was thinking about the versions that will be testified to in court, should the case proceed in that direction.

Not according to other articles and video I’ve looked at. The officer was in a cruiser and was responding to a loitering call.
