Every once in a while I just get lucky. I make an offhanded remark on the air that sends the looters into such paroxysms of angst and outrage that I get about a weeks worth of a free ride in blogs, columns and radio and TV shows.
(Excerpt) Read more at boortz.com ...
The closer you are to the truth, the greater the angst and outrage.
Why can’t you just click on the link?
Posting entire articles without permission is theft.
re: Could you have supplied a little more information on what this was about?
Certainly couldn’t have supplied much less, now could he?
Then he went on on the welfare culture of NO and the crime being exported to Houston, etc.
Like I said, click on the link.
Wrong in two ways.
Posting entire articles where the source has not told FR "don't do that" is perfectly OK.
Posting the entire article where the source has objected is a possible copyright violation, which is not the same thing as "theft".
You’re not very good at excerpting, are you?
The idea is to give enough to whet the appetite. I believe something like 250-300 words falls well within the law.
As it is, when it gets posted like this, I always assume it’s someone from the organization hosting the link and hoping to get a lot of hits.
They’ll get more hits if they give enough info to arouse curiosity. As it is, I’m not going because it’s a weak job at excerpting.
So true.
He is right, there were some really nasty folks down there. I lived there for awhile, and the cockroaches and rats had human competition for the title of vermin. If the storm made them move it is a better city.
Boortz is entirely correct in what he said. Let’s face it - there’s no reason to rebuild Nawlins anywise. Why rebuild it? So people can have some place to go for Mardi Gras, so they can dance around naked in the streets like drunken idiots? Do that on your own dime. Build a non-transparent fence around your backyard and do it to your heart’s content at home.
"The use of a copyright notice is no longer required under U. S. law, although it is often benefcial. Because prior law did contain such a requirement, however, the use of notice is still relevant to the copyright status of older works."
It’s my intention to force people to click on the link.
I’m listening to Boortz right now. Interesting stuff.
Just seeing the name "boortz" associated with the link tells one that there's lots of egocentric hot air just around the corner...
I’m listening too.
Then you better do a better job of excerpting.
