Mammoth U.N. Tech Overhaul: Over Budget and Behind Schedule
NEW YORK — A $286.6 million computer and software system upgrade, described as the "cornerstone of a United Nations-wide effort to bring groundbreaking reform" to the management of the U.N. Secretariat, is already about three to four months behind schedule, and is headed to be tens of millions of dollars over budget, less than a year and a half after being approved.

Yes....the US should bail......bail out of the UN. Totally bail out. The UN is a danger to the US. We need to get out and start another organization that professes freedom, not dictation. We in this country have no use for the UN any longer. If our politicians can’t see that, get rid of the politicians.
What? Just to make the funneling of funds into their bank accounts more efficient?
Hell. Let’s just tell them we won’t prosecute them if they walk out with bags of case, and that we we don’t have to spend the money to fix their stupid computers so they can just transfer it to their bank accounts.
At least this way, we will at least have the entertainment value of watching a procession of men carrying bags of money to their cars.
Why do I get the feeling that the UN selected a small Nigerian start-up firm to carry out this project?
Looks like this one will take over the title of Most Massively Botched IT Project in Human History (currently held by a failed 10-yr. effort to upgrade the IRS computer systems in the 1990’s, costing billions of dollars and yielding zero results. An SAP implementation at Hershey’s that went south and prevented them from shipping in time for Halloween comes in third) With the UN in charge, is it any wonder?
