(IsraelNN.com) While the United States is talking up tough sanctions against Iran, it is training United Arab Emirates pilots on F-16 planes in the U.S. for the first time ever, to help the Arab nations prepare for war with Iran.

The American military previously has trained UAE pilots on their own planes for eight years and more recently on U.S. fighter planes other than the F-16.

The pilots, from seven oil-rich UAE kingdoms, are participating in an exercise at an American Air Force base in Nevada after having spent two weeks training at an Arizona base.

Remember all the fuss in 2005 or 2006 about UAE port control contract. There was a lynch mob calling this country a bunch of terrorists. Worse it was Sen C Schumer NY, working for the teamsters union that led republicans on this charge. To their favor, Rush and Cavuto (FNC) did not take the bait on this mob scene. But hannity, Levin and Mike Salvage went wild. Mike Salvage had Schumer on his radio program.

LOL A bunch of ‘muslim’ pilots let loose near Reno and Las Vegas.

Now THAT would be a fun TDY.

Actually, I’ll bet our blue-suiters show them a really good time. AND the zoomies from the UAE will get their BUTTS KICKED by our aggressor forces ;-)

Make some great video for those guys to take back home to the UAE.

Not exactly sure what all the fuss is really about. The US has long been training “oil-rich Arab” pilots.

The US actually gives money to UAE and Isreal to contract with US defense companies to develop new weapons. The reason is that the US military cannot procure weapons (development) without huge cost over-runs and design defects, too many political factors. Usually end up with fielded crap.

Isreal and UAE will hold the companies feet to the fire, they are unlikely to make much money with those two customers. Then the US buys it off the shelf. The defense companies wont turn down development contracts for items with a future sale value just because it is hard to make a profit on development.

This is BS. No country holds contractors’ feet to the fire
like the US DoD.

The UAE, the Saudis, & some of the other Gulf states have been on military equipment buying sprees from the US & Europe. Everything from fighter jets to missile defense systems. They’re afraid of Iran.

Their Air Force is decent, not in our or the Israeli league, but not bad compared to Iran. Lots of flying time, good equipment, vendor reps do their maintenance, but their tactics need works and organization problems due to the culture. The real problem is that they have no army to speak of and can’t defend an airbase or country from hordes of irregulars.

I have said for some time that there is a room somewhere with officers of the US Army, the IDF and the GCC where they are learning trust and planning the certain war with Iran

There might be Iraqi and Jordanian officers there also

recall if you can, the first Iraqi plane shot down during desert storm was credited to a Saudi pilot that had exactly this training

My brother has trained both Arab and Israeli pilots here in the USA, and he says the Israeli pilots are far the best.
