(Kennedy dared us to call his bluff, when we didn't, he made all of us complicit in what he had done.)

I'd rather see Cheney is some high powered cabinet position or director of the CIA.

At least he is a true conservative, and not like wishy-washy McCain ...Is he really? Cheney put himself out of the running for the Presidency and concentrated on what was important to him -- defense and foreign policy -- and he came across as a hard-liner on those issues.
He didn't have much to say about other issues. If Cheney had wanted the presidency and felt up to campaigning, who's to say his views on those issues would have been that different from Bush's or McCain's?

Cheney was out of running due to “bombardment by left against war”, and even the wishy washy right just wanted to appease everyone on both sides.
As for “defense and foreign policy” being important to Cheney, that is what is right about him, because the Federal Gov’t is reponsible for that very issue according to the Constitution. There are only 17 things given to Federal gov’t to handle, and Healthcare isn’t one of them, but defense and foreign policy are paramount, who knew.

I think you hit nail on head, as Cheney cares more about America than winning an election.

Some lines there ain’t much room for mushiness.

He already done that sh!t so why would he go back to the grind again?

Cheney/Palin ..... YEA!
Calling liberals “progressives” is like calling homos “gay”. Its names they want to adapt to take your focus off what they really do.
