This tea's been brewing awhile
Augusta Chronicle Editorial Staff
Where was the "Tea Party" movement before now?
That was the incredulous, sniping demand of CNN "news" anchor Tony Harris, who gives almost as much opinion as news.
Harris was interviewing an organizer of the Tea Party Express -- a caravan that will ride from Sacramento, Calif., to Washington, D.C., to dramatize growing concern among many Americans about the out-of-control federal government.
Harris and Co. don't get it, largely because they don't want to get it. They want to couch this brewing revolt as a partisan thing, as an anti-Obama thing -- as anything other than the sincere, grass-roots uprising that it is.
Thus, his demand of the tea partiers: Where were you during the Bush administration?
There's a good answer, if you care Tony.

"Not everyone is dismissing the concerns that are leading to passionate town hall meetings on health care and to tea party rallies across the nation. Arizona Sen. John McCain says he sees the seeds of a "peaceful revolution ... There is a grass-roots uprising the likes of which I have never seen."
Be wary of strong drink.
It can make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss.

What is the difference between a taxidermist and a tax collector?
The taxidermist takes only your skin.
MARK TWAIN - Notebook, 1902
So, apparently the Senator from AZ isn't totally clueless.
I expect a good quip from Twain, but Heinlein still surprises me!

Here's another one:
“An Armed Society is a polite society.”
The best current evidence of this is the following: Has there been ANY violence reported at town hall meetings where the participants were openly carrying their firearms?
No, there was not.
Has anyone in the MSM or any kind of media made that association yet? Likely not. And likely will not.
That's because we have leftist politicians who could care less about their constituents, (including you Sen. McCain), who are abusing the American people in the likes which we have never before seen. The beauty of the U.S. Constitution is that when our elected leaders stop following it we can make the creeps unemployed and replace them with people who will follow the Constitution and do the will of the people.
"Hope and Change" = We hope the millions of illegals, dead men and the homeless will vote for we leftists and help us change the Constitution by ignoring it.
Here's a picture that was at Vegas's teaparty this morning.
Says it all. Why didn't they read the ranson note?
This tea sipper was NOT voting for Bush during his re-election over spending. This has been brewing a while, and liberal Republicans should understand they are in the crosshairs along with their liberal Democrat friends.
The politicians don’t just want your money.
They want your soul.
They want you to be worn down by taxes until
you are dependent and helpless.
When you subsidize poverty and failure, you
get more of both.
James Dale Davidson, National Taxpayers Union
WHERE WAS I DURING THE BUSH ADMIN!
Busy WORKING AT MY JOB! now, nope. Some change!
“When you subsidize poverty and failure, you
get more of both.”
And I shall do neither.
“And I shall do neither.”
If you are paying taxes, you are subsidizing both.
True enough, regretfully.
