The health bill is "dead on arrival" in Congress, said Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), the ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce committee, said during an interview on Fox News.

"If they somehow manage to get the votes and get enough Democrats to walk the plank and commit suicide, in the next Congress, I'll be chairman Joe Barton of the Energy and Commerce committee, and we'll repeal it," Barton said.

Perhaps those who are giddy about this statement can point me to the one government agency that the Republicans repealed over the more than a decade when they had the power to do so.

This strikes me as being similar to the promises of a straying husband who has been caught.

All republicans running in 2010 need to make repeal of all the garbage these communists passed since 0bama took office the key component for their 2010 contract with America.

They don’t need 2/3rds to repeal it.

They just don’t have to fund it, same effect.

Uh, Joe??

By 2012, there won’t BE an America to bother saving. Those who aren’t on ObamaCare death watch, will be in “re-education” camps learning how zero saved us from freedom and the capitalistic system!!!

C’n I get a woohoo one time?

Get a clue, Joe. You may be just another Joe sixpack in 2010 also and chairman of the local little league or something.

Contract with America 2.0. Repeal and Reform with Common Sense Progress (not revolutionary “Change.”) Conservatives need to coopt progress in progressive. Common sense progress without the excesses.
