it is not against the law The law is what the cop says it is. If you don't like,it take it to court. If I were on the jury, I'd side with the cop in this case. We don't need wackos carrying around a racially insulting sign in an area where the cop is responsible for maintaining orderly conduct.

I truly hope that you are never, ever allowed to sit on a jury. We don’t need “wackos” like you being responsible for the guilt or innocence of people.

The purely subjective view of the “racial” intent is overthrown by the right to criticize the president.

You wouldn't be on that jury. Know why? Any first year law student would dismiss you on the grounds of prejudice.
The Department involved and the city would lose big time, and the ACLU would, and probably will, step in to run the case for free.
No matter what you might think of the organs of the local jurisdiction, the officer CREATED the incident by confronting a PEACEABLY ASSEMBLED protester.
Are you saying the officer has right to confront if there is no incident? Do you know how totalitarian that sounds?

The law is what the cop says it is. If you don't like,it take it to court. So if a cop told you to drop your pants so he could sodomize you, you would comply first, then take it to court?
