Joe Biden asks the American people to help debunk health care myths...

It is the American people who have exposed the truth of the health care bill, you moron! We've taken the time to read it, have you? How's that work for ya Joe?

Debunk “myths” by sharing personal stories. How about some facts? Facts tend to do better at debunking false claims but then, you don’t have those, now do you Mr. Vice-President?

First off...who let "Jumping" Joe out of his cage?

Secondly...talk about grasping at straws. He wants people to produce videos to debunk "myths"?

It's all so pathetic really..

Democrats will never reveal ANYTHING in full about this thing. They will concoct some way to smuggle it in the back door before they we will EVER see what is in fact in it. Truth delayed is truth denied. Right?

"Explaining why you want reform" doesn't debunk anything.

I'd like a pony.

However, that doesn't explain why the care, feeding, and boarding of a pony is expensive, and why it's not reasonable to expect my neighbors to pay for it.

George Bush was laughing about something at the Kennedy funeral. He was sitting in back of Biden. He must have gotten a real good look at the lugs.

What a perfect opportunity for us to post our own videos on why WE want reform!!! And why we don’t want government involved. I think this thing will backfire too. My guess is actors are lined up at SEIU right now !! I wonder if they will be wearing purple shirts, or maybe they will try to blend in a little better this time.

Why you want reform? What a stupid question. Biden as usual, frames the question wrong.

Since the bill is open to all to read and interpret, and I know what its present rendition says, the issue isn’t why I want reform?

I don’t want their reform at all!

Mr. Biden:

Fact- Many companies offer even their part timers a basic benefit package with $ limits of around 50,000 per year, but affordable copays for doctor visits and emergency care. They also offer prescription discounts, eye care, and dental. These plans run about 30 per month for individuals and 100 per month for families.

Fact: Blue Cross and Blue Shield offer a new discount program for about 30 per month which enables you to get the discounted rate that BCBS pays to a provider. Anyone who has had treatment at a doctors office or hospital knows when they get their bill there are 2 figures, the amount the hospital charges and the amount BCBS allows for a service. There is a SIGNIFICANT difference between those 2 numbers in most cases. For a dollar a day, you can pay the BCBS allowable amount without negotiation. That is a HUGE savings!

Fact- Any folks who cannot afford to pay a dollar a day for coverage, would most likely fall into a catagory where they would qualify for medicaid or another SCHIP program, they just have chosen NOT to sign up for it.

Fact- 80% of folks in this country are happy with their insurance, don’t want govt overhauling it to cover the 20% that don’t have coverage. Of those 20%, about half are illegal immigrants, who should be sent home, not covered by state paid insurance. The rest either opt NOT to pay for coverage (they are young and invincible or just don’t carry insurance on anything and they see it as valueless;to them, I say, when you need healthcare, PAY THE BILL! you rolled the dice and lost, next time, get insurance!!) To the rest, call your state health department. See what programs are available if your employer does not offer at least a limited benefit package.

Fact-And this one is the MOST important myth to dispel of all- YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING SINGLE PAYER CADILLAC COVERAGE!
No one will get the equivelent benefits of congress if single payer becomes law. Everyone will have BASIC HEALTH COVERAGE WITH NO OPTION TO UPGRADE TO YOUR CHOICE OF COVERAGE!!
Care WILL BE RATIONED out of necessity. People will receive pallative care instead of health care if they fall into the ‘useless eater’ or over 50 catagory, or if they have diseases that are costly and chronic such as diabetes, asthma, dementia, mental disorders, MS, cancer, etc etc etc.
Only people who are able to work to contribute to taxes to pay for the healthcare will receive any real care at all.

People, please do NOT be fooled! Facts are Facts!!

Chris Dodd won’t even let Senators see the feces he is hiding up his sleeve. Or maybe it’s stuffed down his pants like Sandy Berger..

Health-Care Secrets
Chris Dodd keeps his Senate bill under wraps.

(snip from article)
Three weeks ago Republicans on the committee wrote Mr. Dodd “to reiterate our request for a full copy of the bill as amended, in the four-week mark-up.” Mr. Dodd has refused to comply. The Senate bill that is available on the committee Web site is 790 pages long. While that is some 300 pages shorter than the House health bill, that’s in part because it doesn’t include nearly 200 amendments that passed when the committee redrafted the bill. Amended sections of the bill might as well be written in invisible ink.

More from above link

“Meanwhile, President Obama has been saying that critics are “misrepresenting” his proposals. But who’s to know what’s reality and what’s a myth when the public and Members of Congress aren’t able to read a bill that would restructure one-seventh of our economy. We don’t have any idea what the bill will cost or how many people it will provide insurance for, because the Congressional Budget Office can’t score it.”

I don't see how anyone can expect cooperation from Conservatives when the FULL particulars are unknown. THAT is really pushing it to the limit.

I very much resent the summary expectation Liberals have that all and everything they propose ought to be blindly accepted! If fully 50% (probably more) of the population object... do they think THAT is leadership?

So Mr. Hoof-in-mouth wants to counter some health care myths. Ok, I'll take on a couple that the DemoRATs are spreading around.

1. We need "health care reform." - No we don't!! Most people are happy with their current health insurance and care.

2. Government health care will save money and provide better health care. - Oh really! Health care from the same people who brought us the Post Office, the Clunker program and the TV converter box program? Show me one thing the government does better than the private sector. Go ahead, make my day! (The silence is deafening!)

3. We, the political class, are concerned about the health of the American people. - Baloney!! All the political class in this country is concerned about is their own power and influence! This whole brouhaha about "health care" is nothing more than a naked attempt by the political class to hijack the health care portion of our economy and put it under their control. It is an expressway to tyranny!

There are certainly far more myths about health care in this country, with over 99 percent of them coming from the Washington elites!
