The headline is simple "Climate Change Legislation being considered in Washington will cause Illinois Consumers huge economic pain".
On September 1st, Energy Citizens, the combined efforts of 23 Illinois farm, industrial, retail and energy associations will host a rally in opposition to proposed Cap & Trade legislation at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Illinois' capital city, Springfield.
The rally is designed to bring public awareness to cap and trade legislation that will cost an estimated 2 million high paying American jobs, raise gasoline and diesel prices, raise electric rates and reduce global competitiveness of American companies. The groups intent is to point out the widespread opposition to cap and trade legislation that will damage the agricultural, manufacturing, retail, energy and transportation industries of Illinois which provide the foundation of Illinois' economy.

You really can’t blame most of these people. They never “voted” Obama into the Senate. He was put there by the corrupt political and judicial machine in Chicago, and ACORN provided the forged ballots, not that any were really needed considering he won by judicial decree
IL seems nearly devoid of effective GOP people. Obama got into the Senate because instead of a moderate-right of stature, say someone like Oberweis (pulling name out of memory hat) the IL GOP had the brilliant idea of putting up Keyes. I voted for Keyes and many of my friends did too, but it was symbolic. He turned too many folks off who sat home and didn’t vote.
Mark Kirk wants to be a Senator after voting for the Cap and Trade bill.

Obama got into the state and US senate by engaging in typical Chicago thuggery. In both elections the favored candidate was forced out of the race, by incorrectly filled out petitions (state senate bid) to the mysterious release of some rather odd sexual habits (US senate bid), in either case...it’s easy to win elections when your candidates are forced out of the race, as for the import of Keyes...I’m still trying to figure that moronical decision out. But you are right, the Illinois GOP, since the Ryan corruption scandal has failed to recognize or promote any genuine talent.
