NO.

The DemonRATs eliminated gubernatiorial appointments to Senate seats when Romney (R) was governor and Lurch was running for presidink. They didn’t want Romney (R) appointing an (R) to a seat to which the RATs believe they have a Divine right.

Of course, I don’t think they had anything to worry about from Romney (R).

But now their perfidy has returned on them.

The will need to have a special election or quickly pass a new law that gives the DemonRAT governor, Devil Patrick, the prerogative to make an appointment to a vacant Senate seat.

My guess is that they will pass the law.

They need to have that 60th vote to cram Cap & Trade and Obamacare.

The Senate will wait to act on these bills until the Devil Patrick can make a RAT appointment.

This idea to appoint an interim Senator is actually new. I know the background for the change to requiring a special election within 5 months vs appointing a replacement as it was when Romney was Gov. and might replace Kerry with a RINO but this is kind of a hybrid idea. So my question still applies.
