SEATTLE - Two men arrested Friday night during a bizarre shooting spree along Interstate 5 in North Seattle may have been planning to fire at vehicles driving up and down the freeway.
Investigators found a hidden campsite the suspects had built in a wooded area near North Seattle Community College. One of the suspects was found with an AK-47 assault rifle and multiple rounds of ammunition. Searchers also found the hidden campsite, covered in a camouflage tarp, with a "significant" amount of ammunition.

we listen to it on the scanner that night... never heard of tracers being reported... better question is how did they get there hands on tracer rounds... they are a bit hard ot come by for your normal civilian...

There is a thread from the other night when this happened. Links to one of the shooter’s blog, etc. Perpetual white geeky liberal college student. Lived in the woods near campus. Probably found his “home” - and not a sniper’s next like they make it sound.

Sounds like some guys out shooting in the woods. The “sniper attack” is pure conjecture on the part of the police. Stupid to “snipe” with an AK, you may as well just throw rocks.

There is another group the city of Seattle wants to protect from public criticism, and that is those living in the (city approved) homeless tent city, which moves from location to location with Seattle, with a population of homeless that is often 100 or more. It is now located not far from the shooting. Just a theory worth checking on.
You know they are going to say they are right wingers. In this part of Seattle I doubt it though, I bet there is only one Right Winger for every 1000 persons in this area.
I’m thinking that these guys had a “survivalist” mentality, and thought that they were all set with their little encampment. I’ll bet they were drinking and got tired of waiting for the end times. Also note “fireworks” were among the items found. There’s also a picture of a “UNIX power tools” manual!

Getting tracer rounds is as easy as picking up the phone or clicking a link on a web site.

I was on that thread. I made comment about one caller to Q13 News who said it was the sound of an air powered BB gun. He was sure of it. Stupid Seattle Lefties couldn’t tell a real gun shot from the sound of a Red Ryder Range Model BB gun with a compass in the stock.
