I have been scared of him for many, many years. I thought the same as you. When I would tell people on this site that I would not vote for him, they ganged up and told me I was helping elect Obama. Well, we see how that came out and what he has said since the election. I do not trust him as far as I could throw him and that is about this much-. Some people do not belong in public office and he is one of them.

For a couple of decades, this idiotic senator has never seen a camera he didn't like. He's a guest on TV night shows and the morning shows every opportunity, even Sundays. He's like the Energizer Bunny....obsessed with going, going, going.....to pontificate in front of TV cameras. I don't know how he does it. I wonder what kind of a life he leads, always looking around for a camera man, being driven from studio to studio, his face being constantly plastered with makeup.

Did you see him at the wake and funeral? He's always positioned near someone he knows TV cameras will focus on. It's a wonder he didn't climb into Ahnold's pocket or Joan's Kennedy's lap.

And just think, stepping right up on the national stage is another nut who's fallen right under his family tree, Miss Megamania McCain. How much more of this can we take?

I just sent my sympathies to my relatives in Tucson.

Well, the Geneva Conventions do tell us what a “lawful combatant” is, someone representing a country and wearing a uniform and following international rules of war.

Which makes these thugs “Unlawful” enemy combatants.

They do not DESERVE the HONOR of POW status!

Which is why terrorists aren’t protected by it. It’s not just a matter of honor, but of people like McCain missing the entire point for the Conventions. It wasn’t so much to protect soldiers in a war, but civilian populations by encouraging the soldiers to be identifiable and follow the rules of war.
