Mitt Romney; Please Run for the Vacant Senate Seat.

Open letter to Mitt Romney; Please do us all a favor and try to take Kennedy's seat. As a sitting Senator you can still run for President and keep the libs form another vote in the Senate.

Mr. Romney expressed no desire to run, I would like more of an explanation than this. Click here.

It seems logical, unless he thinks that he can't win....

Here’s a timely article for you—and as good an explanation as you’re going to get. (Who’d have thought it would be the Boston Globe delivering?)

No thanks, No Mitt, nowhere, not now, not ever.

Besides, unless you are a democrat, you must be a resident of the state where you are running for office.

Not real familiar with Yankee politics, but who then can win on the GOP(RINO) side in Mass runoff?

Would be the ultimate slap to Kennedy and obozo. I like Romney, he aint no Palin but he could become more Conservative.

Pray for America

Well, DUH! This seat is going to a Democrat. I will bet several dollars to a donut on that. The back and forth on gubernatorial appointment will be somewhat embarrassing, but Mass. pols are quite accustomed to embracing Kennedy related items that other states would consider hypocritical.

Keep up, the Democrats are fond of what I call “eating their young”. In a six way race, we will see a Dem Senator, probably a run-off.

I agree. I think it would be a good move for the country and his political future. Maybe he thinks it not in his own best interest.

I’d much rather see Romney as a Senator than Presidential nominee. To my recollection, he’s the only GOPer who ever presented a strong enough challenge to force Kennedy to actually campaign.

I think it would be a good move for the country and his political future.

Losing a Senate race for a second time right after losing the presidential nomination is never good for one's political future. This is Massachusetts, and it's still the Kennedy family seat. The Democrats won't let it go.

There’s no way he will run. He’s in the drivers seat for the 2012 nomination and potentially losing an election would sour his chances. Personally, I wish he would run and lose. One more RINO we won’t have to worry about.

I guess the Freepers who have been enrolled in JimRob’s anti-Romney fever, would rather have a Democrat as Kennedy’s replacement than Romney who is the only Republican in Massachusetts who might be able to win. Wow, what a mindset!
