If what you say were true, then there never would have been a Nazi Germany or a United Soviet Socialist Republic. And the Gulags and Concentration Camps that followed were not only overlooked by the population, they were fully supported for a number of reasons.

Well, we have the Second Amendment and a more significant history of personal freedom than wither Germany or Russia. Would we really decide not to fight back against tyranny? Would we really go quietly into concentration camps?

I think we would resist and that we would have significant ability to do so -- ability that was not available in either Nazi Germany or the USSR. But we'll have to wait and see.
