But since making an old fool of yourself in the last campaign, you have shown no remorse or shame or embarrassment. You act as though your own role in the campaign has been erased. Instead, your cowardly operatives want to “smear the woman,” Sarah Palin, who carried water for you last year and is now seduced and abandoned in 2009.

Your coming to Illinois to endorse a Democratic Party stalking horse running in the Republican primary is an indecent act. I hope the people of Arizona put an end to your political career next year. You are an embarrassment to yourself, and to the United States Senate. It is time for you to go, and it is time for you to reconsider and not come to Illinois tomorrow. Your appearance with Mark Kirk is an act of infamy that will shadow your own reelection campaign.

See, here's the GOP's problem in a nutshell. After getting their asses kicked in 2 consecutive elections, you'd think they'd buy a clue. Voters are angry at them as well as at the Dem's socialist policies. But the GOP thinks that voters are angry at just the Dems, so "it's their turn" to take back power.

People can clearly see through the ruse and hypocrisy of the two-parties now. Liberal Republicans like Kirk are going to lose badly because now those Democrats and independents who got burned by Obama are going to support candidates who will get the gov't off their backs and get the economy going again. They're not going to cross-over and vote for Kirk.

More proof that the GOP has no interest in advancing conservatism, but as Dr. Zero of HotAir aptly pointed out, to remain the collaborative wing of the Democrats, to be their pets so to speak. Now if Governor Palin was true about starting this new Conservative Movement, she can start by writing or calling McCain personally and say thanks for what you did for me, but I cannot and will not support you if you're going to support Republicans like Kirk.

Agree.

I will send Andy Martin a small donation (after all I got no SSA COLA increase this year, but Congress got a raise) after September.

On the good side I haven't heard about him having any of his monumental rage episodes. The 2008 campaign seemed to have soothed him.

I like to try and figure out people from a philosophical perspective. How do they determine their ethical ideology? What is the basis of their ethical practices? Frankly, I have yet to figure out McCain. He seems to be all over the place when it comes to ethics. I fear that he is narcissist.

Everett Dirksen's remark was a bit more extensive and directed not at a POTUS candidate at that convention but at Tom Dewey who was backing Eisenhower. The precise words were: "You led us down the path to defeat twice before and (pointing directly at Dewey) you shall not do it again!"

With that exception, I found little with which to disagree.

OTOH, be careful of "Andy Martin." IIRC, he comes originally from Connecticut as do I and there he was known as Andrew Martin Trigona or Trigonis. He had so angered one Federal District Judge (Jose Cabranes now of the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals) with a stream of frivolous lawsuits that Cabranes enjoined him to seek the separate written permission of Cabranes before filing any future lawsuit for each and every such suit. IIRC, he was also notorious for anti-Semitism.

Although Jose Cabranes was appointed a trial judge by Carter and an appellate judge by Slick Willy, you may recall that he was the 2nd Circuit Court Judge who filed a dissent from Sotomayor's decision in the New Haven Firefighter's civil rights suit (Ricci vs. New Haven) saying that it was clear how Sotomayor wanted the decision to issue but her opinion was singularly devoid of any supporting law whatsoever.

"Andy Martin" is a potential hot potato and, while he is certainly right about RINO Kirk, we should be careful about trusting "Martin." He is losing his deserved reputation by immersing himself in a larger state where his previous bad behavior is not known. He changes his name to add further insulation and then seeks publicity as an office seeker.

Be wary. Draw your own judgments. Disagree with this warning if you choose. Take him as you personally find him BUT be verrrrry wary.
