I respect Glenn Beck, tune in almost every weekday, and fervently hope and — literally — pray that his “no violence” stance can take us thru the next several years with our republic intact. However, I often turn away from his broadcasts.

Glenn *may* not have heard, or may not believe, Dick Morris’s assertion that Obama is such an ideologue that if worse comes to worst, Obama will consider his presidency successful if it lasts only four years, but starts our nation irreversibly down the road to socialism. [I would say fascism.] But Obama’s one principle is “If you can win, you should,” and Black Liberation Theology adds, “...by any means at [our] disposal.”

If Obama can take 218 “trustworthy” congressional representatives, 50 trusted senators, and “good old Joe” Biden behind closed doors, the group may be able to emerge with 1000 more indecipherable pages of legislation written by the Apollo Alliance “passed, signed, sealed, and law.” We will then choose between living under fascism or waging a French Revolution, and I fear Glenn may not choose the same side I will.

I think you're underestimating Glenn.

He will make the right choice.

Can’t we have an American instead of a French revolution?

You and Glen may be on the same side in the final analysis since he is broadcasting on TV and can't call for violence even if, in the end, he would choose to take up arms. (I don't know the guy, I'm just sayin')

Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot and I think there are a lot of us who think this thing *can* be won in the same way. That doesn't preclude a terrible choice if things go horribly wrong but it is *way* too early to write off a completely political solution to this outrage especially since the people are even now starting to stand up to this apparently fascist and most definitely serious takeover of our government.

At 4 this morning, I woke up and for the first time started thinking about what it would mean were two things suddenly to happen: an executive decision to cut off Internet access and a move to shut down national conservative talk radio/TV broadcasts.

And as laid their thinking, I kept wondering what we could do to fight back. To be honest, I didn’t come up with many good realistic ideas.

Any thoughts?
