"This used to be America," argued a protester outside a health-care town hall meeting in Reston, Va., after a police officer threatened him with arrest for holding up a sign with a picture critical of Barack Obama.
The officer's response?
"It ain't no more, OK?"
A video of the town hall held earlier this week by Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., shows an unnamed protester standing on school grounds carrying a sign that read "Organizing for National Socialist Health Care The Final Solution" and depicted Barack Obama in the Joker's makeup.
Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then told the protester that even though others were holding signs, his sign was unacceptable because of the depiction of Obama.
"But you got this with a picture," Cheeks said, explaining why the protester was being singled out from the others. "That's the difference. This has got a picture on it. That don't have a picture on it.
"Sir, leave the picture down," the officer said. "If you put the picture back up, you'll be charged with trespassing."

FYI: I attended the event.
When will Obama invite them to the Whitehouse for a beer?
Moran was holding the political event on school property. There were plenty of signs on both sides. Even the Lyndon Larouche followers were distributing their flyers with a picture of Obama as Hitler. I was there.
It amazes me, this security guard goes after this guy for holding your poster, yet liberals were putting flyers on cars depicting all of us “teabaggers” with KKK hoods hanging Obama from a teabag.
Marty Balin didn’t.
I saw the LaRouche kooks there with those signs as well.
There is a legal issue that has to be researched. Just because others were holding them doesn’t mean that it was legal...sort of like..hey everyone else was speeding...why didn’t you give them a ticket.
Selective enforcement of the law might be an issue but you still have to find out what is allowed on school property. There is a different set of rules.
Sure, research it by all means. But in the meantime, I’ll state that I don’t believe the school has any legal right to lease itself out for a political meeting and then allow some jerkwater fascist security guard to make judgments about what kind of speech will be allowed.
You may be aware that all over America schools are even occasionally leased out to religious groups, the Boy Scouts, etc., and when that happens the school has no authority to police the types of speech that take place in such meetings.
I’m not a lawyer, I’m just using some Constitutional and empirical logic.
This was just an example of someone trying to come up with a phony excuse as to why free speech was not allowed. Hell, the cop said he was trespassing by holding the sign.
I was there. The Fairfax County police did nothing to restrict the signs. I was asked to move outside from under the covered walkway because of the echo effect of my bullhorn. But no one tried to restrict my right of free speech or the sign I was holding. This school property issue is just plain nonsense.
"I can arrest you on any charge I choose", "This ain't America any more"."
I'm afraid what this officer is doing here is inviting trouble for those remarks. There's absolutely no way in the world people are going to put up with this kind of mentality from authority figures.
Half white, half black, all RED!
I believe Michelle would not agree with you.
“This ain't America no more.”
correctly reflected an evaluation of what the situation is.>
I watched this video on Hot Air last night and had to get up and walk away from the computer, before shutting it down and calling it a night. It actually made me killing mad an emotion that I really try to avoid. I dont know how much more of this crap I can take before I have to saddle up and start ridding east to set things right. I swore an oath several times starting on 17 Jul 79 that I would defend the US Constitution and this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. We really are at an awkward stage in this nations history it is too late to work within the system and too early to shot the bastards. Stay safe folks and prepare for the worst.
