These fish sacrificed their lives. Their noble effort shall not go unnoticed. At their funeral service they shall receive a 21 flush salute.

...and the fire wouldn’t have started if the aquarium transformer didn’t self immolate.
This could be a good example of circuitous reasoning.

This could be a good example of circuitous reasoning.Excellent. Why didn't the author of the article see the irony? Probably the author was educated in a a state university or ivy-league college.

I've never found TV people to be the best writers. Not only can't they write clear prose, but that can't think a clear thought.

Why didn't the author of the article see the irony? Your theory of higher education is quite plausible.
(sadly I've encountered some who would ask: What iron? There were fish)

I was married to a Canadian/American for 30 years. Fish&Chips is really terrific with malt vinegar. Tartar sauce is nice, but vinegar is best IMO.

So when will the fascists show up to arrest the home owners for neglecting the fish?

No need for such large tanks anymore, nano reef tanks are the way to go nowadays. This one is only 14 gallons:

Fish&Chips is really terrific with malt vinegar. Tartar sauce is nice, but vinegar is best I was in Melbourne, Australia several years ago having lunch in a pub and ordered Fish & Chips. I asked for vinegar and the waiter (and everyone else) looked at me like I was from another planet.
Wanting to humor "the yank" the waiter left and returned with a small bowl of white vinegar.
I concluded that Malt Vinegar with Fish & Chips must be a cultural preference.
