Smoky all around the horizon and hot in L.A. today.

Thanks for posting La ‘Dita... I’ve been looking for some news in between working here on the computer.
I was in RPV on Tuesday afternoon looking at the Terranea Resort.

Hey, I was going to ping you but haven’t seen you around, didn’t know if your area would be affected. The Resort sounds nice:-)

My heart is with you all from Santa Barbara. Went through three major fires in the Santa Barbara last year. Blessings to all in the Palos Verde and LA area!

Someone always comes around to grace us with “who cares” or the ever-popular “let it burn.”

Did that happen in the past hour?
I saw a cloud of smoke like that last night, @6:30 p.m. in the San Gabriels.

It's fire season again...keep safe people. Hemet fire is just over the mountain range from me. Wind from the east so not too bad here. It's the santa ana winds that spook me. Everything is DRY.

Stay safe!

It's warm in San Diego. Mira Mesa is currently 101. El Cajon is 106. The air was pretty warm coming over the summit on State 52 west bound this morning. Like a hair dryer at 8 AM. I can only imagine what it would be like riding through that right now. I'll wait until 5 PM to make the return trip.

Thanks. We are getting a LOT of smoke from the Station Fire and might have to leave because the smoke is irritating...no danger though...

Where is the Hemet fire, my mom lived in Hemet after moving down from San Jacinto Mountains? Up there she lived in the Garner Valley.
To: jessduntno
I'm about 2 miles west of the Station fire, in La Crescenta. The smoke this morning was unbelievable, like a cloud of fog, except it was smoke. The big planes and water dropping helicopters are constantly going overhead, trying to put out some flames that headed south down the hill.
On a side note, does anyone know what happened to Burbank Karl? He always posted on threads like this. Thanks!
To: lainie; Puppage
The Palos Verde fire was mentioned on local news in the DC area this morning. I would imagine local news in LA doesn't care.
News from San Diego is totally blank regarding any fires at all in LA area ~ did you guys notice that yet?
The news media in LA sure have their biases don't they. Maybe they should go back to Mexico. Get out my country if they don't like it.

We’re on the other side of the valley, but the smoke is getting funneled right to us...so hot, it’s like the bad old days of smog “inversion layer” so it isn’t clearing out...about 106 outside...stay safe...keep your eye on the news...haven’t seen Burbank...
