I meant, it's often a boyfriend or step father, who is not a blood relative of the child, who is often the abuser or killer of that child.
He also said he never divorced her (the mother), but is only separated. Who knows? Maybe they could now ALL get back together. God has watched over the girl, I hope He helps the parents!

This reminds me a bit of the Austrian case. Elisabeth Fritzl and her father/beast/kidnapper Josef Fritzl. Elizabeth bore children by her own father. In Elisabeth’s case, she was held captive for 24 years.
According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, a parole agent summoned Garrido into the Concord parole office after police officers at UC Berkeley spotted Garrido with two small children.
During the office visit Wednesday, Garrido was accompanied by his wife Nancy, another adult woman and two small children. The parole agent contacted the Concord Police Department to help determe the identity of the two children and the unidentified woman who accompanied Garrido.
CDCR officials said in a statement, “The diligent questioning and follow up by the parolee’s agent of record led to Garrido revealing his kidnapping of the adult female. It was further revealed by Garrido that she was Jaycee Lee Dugard and that the children were his.”

Yes you are correct . It was her dad who saw it happen.
Not so happy. I fear that there will be many years of counseling for her and the two children, whom have never been to school and never seen a doctor. If it were my daughter, I would find a way to kill that bastard if I had to wait outside the jail and snipe him.
