I hope this is ok to do.
My Congressman, Patrick Murphy from PA, is holding a telephone townhall tonight at 7:00 PM. I was hoping some of you could provide me with some great questions and sources to get the information if I am lucky enough to get to ask a question.
Thanks in advance for all your help and assistance.
Granny
I wish I had some popcorn; this is gonna be funny!
Question 2: If this bill is only about getting the poor insurance, why will the Secretary of Health as opposed to my doctor determine if I should be re-admitted to a hospital, as outlined on pages 284-288, SEC. 1151?
Question 3: Why, if I am happy with the type of health insurance I have, can you force me to get different insurance as outlined in pages 167-168, section 401 or force me to pay a penalty tax?
Question 4: Why is a simple catastrophic health insurance not allowed under this plan, when that is really what insurance should be about? Is this really happening in America? I reference pages 26-30, SEC. 122.
Question 5: Why will the Health Secretary have full say over all health payments as outlined on page 124, Sec. 223? Isn't this against the free market system and more in line with the thinking of Mussolini?
Question 6: Why does the healthcare bill on pages 195-196, SEC. 431 and on page 145, section 312 open up my tax information to federal employees, and force my employer to supply any information asked of him by the Health Choices Commissioner, the Secretary of Labor, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the Secretary of the Treasury?
Question 7: Why MUST any Doctor who orders durable medical equipment or home medical services be enrolled as a Medicare provider , as outlined on pages 719-720 Sec 1637?
Question 8: What are these so called home visitation programs by the government for families with young children & families expecting children, as outlined on pages 838-845?
Question 9: On page 936, this bill mentions a “Healthy People & National Public Health Performance Standards”. Does this mean you are going to try and tell me what I can and can't eat? Are you going to force manufacturers to stop making some foods?
Question 10: Most of the Healthcare Bill has little to do with providing health insurance to the poor, and a lot to do with controlling everyone. Why is this so? If I am happy with my health insurance why don't you just leave me alone?
Why is National Socialism so important to you?
I have all the typical ones but I was hoping for s few they may shake him up. It’s bad enough he is hiding behind a phone. I really appreciate the questions you folks provide
Thanks for those great questions.
Good luck getting a straight and concise answer to any of them.
I’d like to know why congress exempted themselves from this bill if its so wonderful.
Can you explain to me congressman, exactly how and by whome Mr. Obama was vetted with regard to his Constitutional eligibility to hold the office of President.
Follow up: Then can you also explain why Mr. Obama has spent a reported $1.5 on legal efforts to keep his original birth certificate and other records hidden from public view?
..did you read the Bill yet?

Excellent post xcamel. You’ve hit on all the points. I’ve been focusing on the denial of treaments & the end of life crap thats listed in there...but xcamel, you point out the smallest minute detail that has escaped me since this whole nightmare came into play about 3 months ago...you mentioned the “poor”. And you are absolutely right! He’s running his health campaign on the fact that so many people can’t afford health insurance - & yet the bill has really nothing to do with targeting the poor, but has everything to do with national control over everyone.
Ping xcamel!

See question 1. It appears today in different forms on several threads.
The answer in part..... Jacob S. Hacker

Ask him why we don’t deserve the same care Teddy got.
Impressive!
Well stated!

Senator Caseys office invited me to his Tele Town Hall. They said they would call my home at 6:00 PM but the phone did not ring until 6:30 PM. When I answered, a message was playing stating that they were sorry I was not available to participate in the meeting. I was then disconnected and was unable to contact anyone to join the meeting.
If they had any integrity at all, it would not be a problem to conduct a public meeting.
The Federal Employee Health Insurance Plan
I'd hand out that web addy at all town hall meetings so folks can see for themselves just what Congress has and thinks too good for the folks who elected them.
1. If this bill is so good CONgress and everyone else should be subject to its provisions. Why does CONgress hold itself above the people it serves ?
2. Why is CONgress allowing Obama to do CONgress’ job with unaccountable Czars ?
3. Why is CONgress not forcing the investigation and prosecution of the banking sector fraud ? Why does it allow the SEC to abrogate its duties ? We the people wast CONgress to stop the looting of the American taxpayer and start prosecuting. Why are the executives and board members of AIG, Fannie and Freddie not under indictment, for a start ?
4. Why is CONgress not passing the Audit The Fed bill ? Where have trillions of dollars gone and why don’t we know about it ? Where’s the transparency and ethics promised by the Democratic party ?
Stay away from the birth certificate and Nazi/socialism comparisons - they will get you marginalized and you will not get any kind of answer that’s helpful. Concentrate on direct, pointed, answerable questions and hold his feet to the fire.
Thanks mewzilla, I’ve scrutinized that deathcare bill over & over & I actually carry it with me to show people who have no idea whats going on with it...do you know what the normal response has been from people? “Well I’ve never heard that”. My first response back is always, “ah, well what news stations are you watching?”
Anyway, this Kennedy thing makes me sick. Now that he’s dead, his healthcare dream should go through? So, the cancer treatments he got to sustain his life for as long as possible was okay for him, but now that he’s dead, he wants to take the rest of us with him, by denying us those same life sustaining treatments!
And a very good question that has already been posted by another FReeper for Granny to ask is “Why isn’t the Congress & Senate going on the same plan if its so good for the public?”
