"If the federal government gets it's way, and the supreme court sided with them the Constitution would be completely irrelevant. The only choice then would be to leave the Union and\or another civil war. The federal government clearly has no constitutional power to interfere with the States on issues like these."

That's good philosophical thinking. Still, I don't believe for a second the the Military of today would KILL their family members. Most likely we would see a Military coup, or the least a mutiny within the middle ranks of the military. Can you really see Marines marching through the streets and killing American citizens? I don't - this is not Selma, Alabama of the 1970's.

They believe in their Oath, and demonstrators are not domestic enemies. Those guys get it, plus they are really pissed of on how they've pissed on of late. Talk to a Marine or Army grunt. Ask them if they would fire on their citizens who are fed up with the Marxist tendencies of this administration.

I was a simple Aviation Sailor for 11 years on a flight deck, and even us know-nothing non-political Sailors ocassionally discussed if we had to launch aircraft with Marines aboard against our own countrymen. EVERYONE said no. We knew it not only to be "wrongful orders", but just wouldn't do it. The Marines thought the same thing. It won't happen today, either.

...us Eastern States. Geographically, 90%+ of our state is conservative. They (the libs) can keep Phila & Pittsburgh

Yes! What we need in PA is not secession but purgation, or amputation or whatever you'd call it when you lop off a rotten city. Pennsylvania would be a far better place if we cut loose Philadelphia. Sad but true. Make it a federal city, leave it at the fed gov's doorstep like a red-haired foundling.

Then do the same with P'burgh. After a while the fed gov will have a batch of bad cities to stand as examples of their disastrous liberal philosophies.

Don't really have time to read each post, and someone may have already made this argument, but it appears to me that since the 2nd Amendment was ratified AFTER Article I, Section 8, then the “Commerce Clause” does not apply, and Congress has NO authority to regulate guns whatsoever.

Most likely the Fedgov would have to give in. Does anyone really believe that the Military, under orders of the Executive Branch, would KILL their own families in this era? This is not the 1800's - never happen.

You are vastly underestimating the lengths at which people will go to hold onto power. It may come to exactly that. Some Americans are no different that the Hugo Chavezs' of the world. Power corrupts the thinking of the unprincipled.

[I am finally encouraged for our Republic to see so many States (37?) passing resolutions regarding States’ rights via the 10th Amendment. Although resolutions are non-binding, it says a lot about the current thinking of the individual States.]

The federal government has been centralizing power in itself as the rights of states and individuals are taken away by damn fool politicians who hate God, country and family.
This President is a typical elitist and thief and liar and is quite mad with power lust and wants to be a typical dictator who is trying to consolidate all power into D.C. with the support of the evil Congress and judicial powers who are in cahoots with obamanation.
The states need to stand together against the power grab of the D.C. marxist politicians and overthrow their snares and curbs on liberties and freedoms of the individual American citizen. I would like the states to throw out all dictates on taxation and get rid of the NEA that has destroyed education and made schools just a daycare center that brainwashes children into the lies of liberalism.

[They have no right to force me to buy an insurance product, or right to design an insurance product either in the private or public sector which I’m forced into by hook or crook, nor right to fine me...]

It is just another tax disguised as a reform.

[Fedgov actually order the Military to fire on their brothers and other family? Think not.]

History shows that they often will.

This is precisely what Constitutionalists should have been doing for the last 50 years, i.e. picking apart the Federal overreach one bit at a time based strictly on clearly defined Constitutional issues.

I’m a huge 2A guy, but the rest of our state rights must also be retaken in the same type of manner. “Regulation of interstate commerce” has been used as a catch all to completely trample state’s rights. We need to get back to being a Republic of individual states.

The “Revolution” is in the hearts and minds of the people. The revolution takes place before the shooting ever starts.
