What you said:

He needs the support of the U.S. MILITARY.

Bears repeating:

He needs the support of the U.S. MILITARY.

Out of all our so-called public “servants” who take an oath to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution — most will not even pay lip service to that concept.

Except our military. I have faith that they take *their* oath seriously.

Mind you, after ten to twenty years of perversion at the hands of an Obama, I’ll be a little worried about them too.

But right this moment I’m not too worried.

In 8 years, Clinton managed to install people in the military who would do his bidding to a great degree. Bush had to work hard to overcome the upper brass, people like Shinseki and the guys who ran the Serbia war and who gave tours of Los Alamos to the Chinese. Obama, if he worked at it, could do even more damage, and try to set up a command structure that was loyal to him. It would take time, but if he gets a third term, he could do it. I believe he will try to get a third term, if he gets a second.

In the meantime, it seems people will accept encroaching fascism. If he gets away with that, he may not need to take over all at once.

Just their acquiescence. SecDef Gates and Admiral Mullen CJCS, fired the commander in Afghanistan, Gen. David McKiernan because he was not sufficiently political. Wasn't willing to stroke the folks in DC, or even go there very often. Silly man thought he belonged in the field with the troops. The last time a commander in the field was relieved was when Truman fired MacArthur. But MacArthur was insubordinate, McKiernan was not.
