President Barack Obama will deliver a eulogy at US Senator Edward M. Kennedy's funeral Mass on Saturday, a White House official has told the Globe.
Kennedy's funeral will be held at a time yet to be determined Saturday morning at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Mission Hill section of Boston. Commonly known as the Mission Church, the 1,450-seat basilica on Tremont Street was built in the 1870s. Kennedy prayed there in 2003 while his daughter, Kara, was being treated for lung cancer.

O, being a narcissist, will not be able to hold himself back from turning it into a campaign speech for healthcare. Watch for the poll #’s to drop even more because of it. I’m not looking forward to seeing the Kennedy’s again with their heads bowed and the cameras will be focused on Caroline. I’m happy Camelot is so over.

It took a Kennedy to get Obama in a church......the irony.

The partial birth abortion president giving the eulogy of a Catholic pro-abortion senator a Catholic church. That's rich.
Yes, if ever there was a scene that begs for a lightning bolt, this would be it.

I hope the ground in the church opens up and swallows all the basterds, including the dead one.

Should be interesting. A eulogy should be about the deceased, but knowing Obama, it will only be a matter of time before it turns into a speach about himself.

From Wiki...Interesting....
Kennedy enlisted in the United States Army in June 1951.[10] Following basic training at Fort Dix, he requested assignment to Fort Holabird for Army Intelligence training, but was dropped after a few weeks without explanation.[10] He went to Camp Gordon for training in the Military Police Corps.[10] In June 1952, he was assigned to the honor guard at SHAPE headquarters in Paris.[4][10] His father’s political connections ensured he was not deployed to the ongoing Korean War.[4][11] While stationed in Europe he travelled extensively on weekends and climbed the Matterhorn.[12] He was discharged in March 1953 as a private first class.[10][12]

In addition, according to the Order of Christian Funerals in The Rites of the Catholic Church, there are no eulogies at a funeral Mass. This thing was the first thing to come to my mind when I read this news.
Yes, there's that thing about not having these eulogies, but here are frequent eulogies anyway--not that I'm at all trying to excuse any particular violation thereof in some "everybody does it!!!!" sort of way.
