This could get interesting.

Wolf X dogs are quite common in northern Canada. They can make great pets or working dogs.

Wouldn't harm a flea. Friendly. Play with my kids all the time. Warm, loving pets. Well behaved.

Wolf dogs killed owner, autopsy determines.
Wecht finds that woman was mauled.
Sandra L. Piovesan bled to death after being mauled by a pack of nine wolf dogs that she had raised as pets and was so devoted to that she once told a neighbor they “give me unqualified love.”
Slightly more than 300 people were killed by 403 dogs in the period from 1979-96

The story lacks detail. IF the land is hers who cares if the wolf dogs run free? If she is letting them run loose on others property that is a different story

11th violation!
This woman is unbelievable. Evidently her neighbors are not gun owners, if they were the problem would have been solved long ago.

And German Shepards are one the most likely dogs to bite.
Statistics while interesting have almost no meaning. ANY dog can latch on and kill an owner given the right circumstances.

I had a wolf/collie cross. It was purchased from an add for puppies in the Federal Way, WA area. He was a wonderful dog. 120 lbs of solid muscle. Totally loyal to the family. More intelligent than any dog I have had since. He could unlock doors and open them. We had deadbolts and chains at eye level for doors we didn't want him to open. We could leave food on the coffee table, leave the room and he wouldn't touch it. He always waited for permission to indulge.

Lets see, let several animals run loose that are more potentially dangerous then dogs and more potentially dangerous then wolves. I would love to hear her explanation.

Just for the record I don’t go looking around to find other ‘info’ when there is a written article. Page is poorly laid out and video is not obvious ——almost looks like the slide show.
They could have as easily included the running around part in the write up
That said, Ms. Simmons is in a heap a trouble and rightly so

The neighbor across the street had what my dad considered a white wolf. It may have been crossed with German Shepherd. The dog was fairly nice around people. Not so with the neighborhood cats. I saw one cat challenge the dog. Minutes later there was only a gut pile (intestines) left on the ground. The rest had been consumed.

Yup that’s what happens when some one screws with an alpha. Hey the cat should a run while it had a chance
To: the long march
They definitely should have included it in the write up and this Ms. Simmons must be a little nuts, luckily no one has been hurt.

Officer Gower said she visited Ms. Piovesan's home about 10 times in the last 31/2years. Her home was decorated with Native American artwork, Officer Gower said. They practice "catch and release" in Pennsylvania.

Agreed. I love wolf hybrids but having five is way out there. AND you do have to be very careful with how you handle them

If she is letting them run loose on others property that is a different storyAgree. Wolf-Dog Hybrids have amazing surveying instinct and never cross boundary markers. This is Colorado, dude. We are not talking a backyard in South Portland surrounded by a 10-foot high chain link fence.

Wolf X dogs are quite common in northern Canada. They can make great pets or working dogs. My daughter had two and they were very difficult to keep fenced in. They love to roam and when they got loose it took weeks to catch them.
