My thoughts exactly.

You invaded my home, you bound my wife and me with duct tape, you threatened my life and you stole possessions we hold dear. What makes you think you can simply leave and not pay any consequences? You had better kill me now, because now a simple burglary has become lethally personal.

A salient point. Thus the guy could only think it likely the robber who turned toward him could very well have a gun.

I think any man who sees his wife bound with a gun to her head has a credible defense that he was traumatized to the point of insanity, justifying the homicide.

A homicide is not necessarily a crime, as many are justifiable.

you can bet the judge will tell the jury they may only consider "the facts of the case" and that they cannot let their conscience,opinion of the law,or the motives of the defendants affect their decision...
