> Many Poles died in concentration camps, and they fought bravely!

...and they fought the longest of any of the Allies. Polish troops sustained huge combat losses relative to their numbers, particularly in the Battle of Britain. And the Polish Brigade fought bravely and well under Maj-Gen Stanislaw Sosabowski during Operation Market-Garden.

The Poles deserve to have this anniversary commemorated properly by all of her WW-II Allies and it is a scandal that this is not going to happen.

Polish troops also fought with distinction at Monte Cassino and captured the monastery. We owe them a debt of gratitude as well as meaningful presence at any ceremony they wish to hold.
