Doesn’t California grow olives, too?

Eatin' olives. Another poster said he gets California pressed olive oil and the internet lists the producers.

I've never seen it on the East Coast in this area ~ we have enough Italian and Sicilian wiseguys to keep the Californios out of the business anyway.

It's possible California producers simply don't make enough for the national market yet. It's like the special cheese the Amish in Indiana make ~ they sell it at stores near the state line, but you never see it advertised.
