Dear Friend,

In the past few months, conversations about how we can improve our nation's health system have taken place in the halls of Congress, at our kitchen tables, and in waiting rooms across the country. I have spoken with many of you in recent weeks about your concerns about the rising costs of health insurance, and the burden this places on you, your family, and either your business or your employer.

I am writing today to invite you to join me for a Telephone Town Hall on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00pm to talk with me more about these concerns, and so that I can give you an update about the health insurance reform bill currently being considered by Congress. As your Representative, I want to answer your questions, and bring your opinion - and your experiences - back to Congress as we make decisions on how best to ensure access to affordable, quality health care for Sacramentans.

If you would like to participate in my Telephone Town Hall, please click here to be automatically connected to the Telephone Town Hall on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00pm. We will call you at the phone number you provide, and join our neighbors to talk more about health insurance reform.

I look forward to hearing from you and answering your questions, and hope that you are able to join me on the Telephone Town Hall.

Sincerely,

DORIS O. MATSUI

Member of Congress

Conflict avoidance. How does one conduct a town hall meeting on the phone?

Has she or her staff called Eric Hogue yet? He does the Sacramento Hour(12-1) weekdays on 1380AM. He's had an invite out to her for some time now (reminds of Letterman's invitation to Ophra).

Her husband was a mealy-mouthed politician who could speak and virtually said nothing. This family 'tradition' needs to stop.

Surely, a Japanese with half a brain could step-up and relieve this 'family' of the burden of representing a huge chunk of Sacramento so poorly.

In fact, a 'thinking' member from Japan would be a welcome addition to the issues facing Sacramento, not to mention a welcomed relief.

This old woman can't even make change at the grocery store.

Yes, unfortunately, she's MY rep right here in Sacramento.

She cannot be beat. In her district there are AT LEAST 100,000 state, county and municipal workers...and I don't think that includes teachers and other union workers.

The entire district has a population of "around" 450,000. Figure at least 10% illegals.

She'll hold the seat until she dies or retires. Then, the next dim will take her place.
