“Then why harp on whether any particular member of a denomination is a Christian?”

I’m don’t. I accept their Christianity. You do not. I post it to highlight your (pl) hypocrisy. And it scares the pants off you (oh, no—not that comment again!).

A Christian is a follower of Christ, not or a group, a denomination, a person, a whatever.

That’s what the word means.

I can accept that a member of a denomination can be a member in good standing in that denomination, but what’s really strange is that I haven’t seen anywhere in Scripture where Jesus said that members of certain denominations are followers of His, or that to be a follower of Him, you have to be a member of a certain denomination.

Nothing you say or accuse people of scares anyone. It’s all in your dreams.

But if it makes you feel good to think that way, by all means, go for it.

Why don’t you use the more common term “scares the sh** out of you”.

Oooh I swore, I’m going to hell!
